Goings On

I wish I could say more was going on in our lives right now, but there really isn't much to report.

The picture on the left is one of my best friends in the whole world. She was married this last Friday and it was wonderful to be a part of it. Seth is actually doing the wedding video for them and it was so nice to be able to follow them around all day and experience every little part of their day. So I have to give a quick shout out and say- Congrats Jake and Diana! We are so excited for you both!

For those of you who don't know, Seth is back in the Training Department at DFCU and he couldn't be happier. He was temporarily placed in another department while needed, but was again needed in Training. He really does love his job and that is a huge blessing for us.

We sold our Jeep to Seth's bro. While it will and has been a little difficult with only 1 car, we are grateful for the opportunity to be able to save what money we can while we can.

My sister is due in just over a week! I seriously cannot believe she is going to be a mom! This is their first and I am very excited for them! I will definitely post pictures.

I have been feeling...better. While my nausea has gone down a great deal, my gag reflex has gone up. So if you are with me and randomly see me gagging, I am sure you will understand. Thanks for all the kind words regarding us expecting a little one. The support has been wonderful.

Sorry for such a brief update. I will blog as more is happening:)

Anniversary Weekend

Seth and I were lucky enough to go to The Roof for our Anniversary. It has become somewhat of a tradition. Very expensive, but worth it.

This is the aftermath of our gigantic meal.

One of the main reasons I LOVE going there..

I am pretty impressed with these pictures we took!

As always, it was the perfect evening.

Grand Canyon

My brother Mike and his wife, Daisy were kind enough to have us come visit them in the canyon! They are pretty lucky that they get to work there 6 months out of the year. We had a blast! Here are a few pics...

Lots of damage from fires. Weird enough, it was quite pretty.

This is my new nephew Osiris:) My brother and Daisy love this dog to pieces and I don't blame them! This dog is a Mastiff, and he is 12 weeks old in this picture. He will probably weigh around 250 in the next year or so...HUGE
This is where we were able to stay..full kitchen!
Ahhh tv

Thanks again Mike and Daisy!! You guys are the best! I am really bad at taking these close-up pictures of us btw.

Good Times

Seth and I feel very lucky to have the friends we have. We have only begun to document our times with friends through pictures, so I am hoping there isn't anyone feeling left out of this post. Not that we are super popular or anything, we just keep busy! These are just a few funny pictures I found of some of our hang-outs with our friends Mel and Brock. I don't think it is necessary to put captions. Thanks for the good times!

I Am Grateful For...

These are just a few things I am grateful for this past week..

Seth's Car- A little background..shortly after getting home from Bear Lake last weekend (pictures coming soon), I noticed my car was shuddering when I put on the brakes. After getting it checked out, I had my rotors turned and new brake pads put on my car. I was a little stressed about this unexpected expense, but was grateful we were able to get it done. 2 days after getting my car repaired, Seth's 'check engine' light came on in the Jeep and he all of a sudden was unable to go over 35 mph. Needless to say I was pretty concerned. We took it to the shop the next day and they let us know that it was a transmission issue-BAD. Lucky enough, the guy at the shop called a dealership for us and found out that the Jeep was under warranty for another 4 months, so all we would have to pay is $100 deductible. WOW. It was one of those moments where I realized just how much Heavenly Father was looking out for us. I feel so blessed.

Our New Camera Charger- We lost the cord to our camera charger a couple weeks ago. I have very little patience when I lose things, because I feel it should have been under my control. I ordered a new one online from what I felt was an 'iffy' company. The first charger I received didn't work. If anything, it sucked all the power out of our battery. I called them and they said they would send me out another one. This one actually worked! I know it sounds lame, but I am so happy to not have to worry about that anymore.

Lazy Weekends- I cannot remember the last time I had this lazy of a weekend. I am a little embarrassed to talk about it, but, on Saturday, I didn't wake up till 10. I did a very little amount of cleaning, then Seth and I went and got lunch. We came home and napped for another couple hours. Again, I woke up and did a little cleaning. I didn't shower for the day till 11pm. It was both disgusting and heavenly.

Red Velvet Cheesecake- The Cheesecake Factory came out with this cheesecake a couple weeks ago and I had been DYING to try it. I was pretty excited this last week because we were actually going to go there for one of my friend's birthday. By the time we got there, I was even more excited. I get excited over pretty dumb things, but red velvet happens to be my favorite cake in the world. After a delicious meal (as always) we tried to order my cheesecake and they were out :( I was disappointed, but my friend had told me that Maggie Moos was offering Red Velvet ice cream. That sounded just as good, so we headed there. Sadly, they were out of the ice cream. Bah! Dumb enough, I was pretty bummed. Luckily this weekend, Seth and I made time to stop by and see if the Cheesecake Factory had it, and they DID! It was definitely worth the wait.
